Kristi Walker

Chief operating officer

Kristi grew up in Florence, Mississippi where she graduated from Florence High School. She then attended Meridian Community College where she played softball. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College. She has 15 years of marketing and business experience in the durable medical equipment industry and infusion pharmacy. She finds great satisfaction as a leader in the healthcare industry. Kristi is a Board Member and active in fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Mississippi Chapter and active in fundraising for MS Society Mississippi Chapter. Kristi and her husband Gus have two children, Taylor and Avery. She enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Tonya Mayers-Sherman, FNP-C

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Tonya graduated from Hinds Community College in 1999 with a licensed practical nurse certificate. In 2005, she graduated from Holmes Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Tonya earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2007, where she graduated with honors. She later went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2018, graduating with high honors. She is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Mississippi. Prior to joining the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team, she worked in a variety of specialties including trauma/surgery, vascular, inpatient rehabilitation, and venous vascular. Tonya is married with two daughters, Taylin and Tiarah. She enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Christy Neely, PharmD

Director of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge

Christy Neely earned her Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and then her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 2002. She has a diverse pharmacy background with over 20 years of experience including retail, hospital, specialty, and home infusion pharmacy.  After a brief stint in retail, she spent the next 8 years in a hospital pharmacy using her clinical skills to manage sterile compounding of parenteral medications including antibiotic, pain management, inotrope, and total parenteral nutrition for adult and pediatric populations.  She then found her passion in specialty home infusion. After working for a large corporate home infusion pharmacy for several years, she found her home at Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties. Over the last 8 years, she has led the pharmacy growth in her role as clinical manager and business administrator. She has personally become licensed to practice pharmacy in 17 states and is in the process of obtaining pharmacy permits for HCMIS in 50 states.  She takes pride in ensuring that all her patients are treated with quality care and compassion. Christy is married with one daughter, Maggie.  She enjoys spending her time working in the yard and going to Ole Miss football games.

Latoya Garrett

LaToya grew up in Camden, Mississippi where she graduated from Velma Jackson High School. She then furthered her education when she attended Virginia College where she earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration. She has over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry. LaToya has been a part of the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team for over 13 years where she serves as the Director of Intake. She has one son, Bryantae and attends the Greater St. Mathew Baptist Church in Canton.

 

Gayden Carpenter

Director of Human Resources

Gayden grew up in Indianola, MS. She received her Bachelors in Social Work from Mississippi College, a Biblical Studies Certificate from the Reformed Theological Seminary, and a Masters in Social Work from Jackson State University. Her diverse career includes being a social worker at the Windsor L. Wiser Hospital for Women and Infants/Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, a business owner, and a counselor in private practice. She resides in Madison with her husband Clark and their three children, Cailey, Ryan, and Sarah Claire. She stays very busy supporting her kid’s activities, and she enjoys spending time with family and friends on any ball field or adventure. She has been a part of the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team for over 6 years where she began as a sales liaison. Gayden enjoys being part of a growing, successful healthcare team.

Tracy Myers, RN

Tracy grew up in Byram, Mississippi where she attended Terry High School. She graduated from Hinds Community College in 2002 with a Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. In 2008 Tracy went on to further her education where she graduated from Holmes Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Prior to joining the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team, she worked for 11 years in the hospital setting on a medical surgical floor as well as outpatient infusion. Her career at Health Care Medical began over 6 years ago as a Clinical Nurse Liaison but is now the Clinical Director with responsibilities in the nursing, respiratory, and enteral departments. Tracy appreciates the teamwork among her co-workers and facilitating a smooth process for our patients. She enjoys spending time with her husband Jason and their three children, Jase, Jacob, and Emerson. They love to travel as a family and they attend Pinelake Church, Madison campus

Michelle Cheney, RN, CRNI

A native of Canton, Mississippi, Michelle is a graduate of Canton Academy. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Holmes Community College. Michelle previously worked as a cardiac nurse. Since joining the Health Care Medical team five years ago as an infusion nurse, she has earned her designation as Certified Registered Infusion Nurse and is now our Nurse Manager. Being a nurse has been a rewarding career for her, because she is passionate about patient care and making a difference in healthcare.  Michelle currently resides in Brandon with her husband, Jason. She enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, including her two sons, Grayson and Caleb.

 

Cindy Green, BSN RN, WCC, OMS

Cindy grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi where she graduated from Warren Central High School.  She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College, then her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with honors.  Cindy has been a member of the Health Care Medical team for ten years with a wide range of nursing experience, but her passion is wound care and ostomy.  She is Wound Care Certified, Debridement Certified, and Ostomy certified as well as a Certified Diabetic Foot Specialist. Cindy and her husband Ashley have three children, Corgan, Eden, and Ivan. They live in the reservoir area and spend much of their time fishing and kayaking. Cindy is also an advocate for animal fostering and adoption. She has fostered dozens of animals for local rescues. She even trained a group to apply a wound vac to an injured turtle with a broken shell.

 

 

Leann Manning, RPh

Infusion Pharmacist

Leann earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She has 30 years of diverse experience including retail, institutional, oncology and home infusion. She has been an infusion pharmacist for eight  years at Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties. Leann is truly passionate about her patients and enjoys the home infusion side of pharmacy. In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with her family.

Allen Williams, RPh

Infusion Pharmacist

Allen earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He has over 35 years of pharmacy experience including retail, hospital, and home infusion settings. He brings a wealth of knowledge and clinical insight to Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties and enjoys being involved with each patient’s treatment plan. Allen excels in his ability to connect with patients, increase their understanding, and raise their comfort level. He is married with three children, 4 dogs, and 2 cats. He enjoys reading and spending time with his family.

Greg Oakley

Greg has over 25 years of medical sales experience as a previous co-owner of several health care companies. Greg grew up in Booneville, Mississippi and graduated from Booneville High School where he played football and baseball. Greg earned an associate degree in sociology and criminology at Northeast Mississippi Community College where he continued playing sports and received the Tiger Award in baseball. He then went on to attend the University of Mississippi. Greg has been married to his wife, Roxanne, for 32 years and in his spare time enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Lisa Smith, BSN, RN

Clinical Liaison

Lisa grew up in Black Oak, Arkansas and has resided in Madison, MS for over 10 years. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Mississippi College and began her nursing career in the hospital surgical setting caring for patients in the cardiovascular surgical suite. Prior to joining the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team four years ago, she worked in an ambulatory infusion center within a large tertiary care health system. As a Clinical Nurse Liaison, she enjoys providing high quality care for patients through the teamwork between her coworkers and area healthcare providers. Lisa has one child, Chandler, and she loves spending time riding her bikes and being outdoors.

 

Julie Puckett, RN

Infusion Nurse

Julie has worked as a nurse for over 15 years and obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College where she also received a Liberal Arts degree. She has worked in a variety of specialties including telemetry, med-surg, and transplant. Julie is passionate about treating, helping and educating patients with autoimmune diseases and remains up to date on the latest research and information available, so she can share it with the people in her care. Julie believes humor with laughter is the best medicine, so always aims to brighten the day of everyone she interacts with in any way that she can. Outside of work, Julie enjoys fishing and traveling. She is her son’s biggest fan, especially when it comes to baseball.

Beth Mayfield, RN

Infusion Nurse

After graduating from Winona High School, Beth earned her Bachelor of Nursing from Mississippi College. She began her nursing career in long-term acute care where she became a charge nurse and grew her nursing skills. She then worked in pediatric specialty clinics, including neurology, GI, genetics, infectious disease before her tenure in adult neurology. Since entering the neurology world, Beth has been dedicated to learning how to best treat the disease process, at first as an assistant to practitioners and now administering medications for treatment. She is passionate about her role in her patient’s health improvement by providing education and infusions. Beth is married to Joey and has two children, Lily Grace and Jacob. They reside in Pisgah and attend Mt Pisgah Baptist Church.

Dana Chatham, RN

Infusion Nurse

Dana grew up in Winnsboro, LA and attended Ward III High School. She then graduated from NE Louisiana Tech as an LPN and from Louisiana Tech University as an ADRN. Her extensive experience includes over 20 years in a variety of settings, such as cardiac, intensive care, vein care, and dialysis nursing. She is married to Shawn and has three granddaughters, Emma, Claire, and Rylee, who she adores. Dana enjoys traveling (especially to the beach) with her husband, spending time with her granddaughters, and shopping. She attends Pinelake Church. Dana is known for her deep commitment to her patients and loves caring for them in our suites.

Sissy Hosey, RN

Sissy graduated from Hinds Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Prior to joining the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team four years ago, Sissy was with the largest gastroenterology practice in Mississippi. She has nursing experience in med-surg, home health, and nursing home settings. Sissy loves getting to know her patients and helping them feel better. Sissy has three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren she loves to spoil. In her spare time, Sissy enjoys being outdoors, especially at the beach.

Jennifer graduated from Puckett High School before attending Hinds Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Respiratory Care. She was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and Lambda Beta, respiratory therapy honor society. Before joining the Health Care Medical team, she worked primarily in the hospital setting covering the Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care as well as the Medical Surgical floors. She also worked in the adult Intensive Care Unit and Burn Unit. Jennifer has been providing education, support, and equipment for HCM patients for over 12 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband Tim and their two children, Victoria and Bailey. She resides with her family in Puckett and is an active member of the Puckett Baptist Church.

Tanner Hutchins,

Tanner is from Brandon, MS. He graduated from East Rankin Academy and from Hinds Community College with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. Before coming to Health Care Medical two years ago, he had worked in sales, at a gym, and in the hospital setting as a RT. He has always enjoyed challenges and helping people in any setting. Outside of work, Tanner enjoys working out, being active, and spending time with his wife.

Amanda Jo Stokes

Amanda Jo grew up in Greenville, MS,  graduated from Greenville Christian School, then attended MS Delta Community College and Delta State University for softball. She has 25 years of experience in the Durable Medical Equipment industry.  She is proud to have been licensed as a mastectomy fitter and making a difference for custom breast prosthetic patients all over Mississippi for over 15 years. Custom prosthetics is where she found her calling and finds it to be very rewarding, leading to lifelong relationships with her patients. In her spare time, she enjoy sports, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping and going to the beach. I has 2 sons, Lawson and Garrett.

Christie Fondren, CRT

 Christie grew up in Caledonia, Mississippi where she graduated from Caledonia High School. She then attended Mississippi University for Women for her prerequisites and received her Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from Itawamba Community College. She has worked for 25 years in the home medical field in which she served various capacities, including branch manager for a DME company. She joined the Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties team in 2005, where she works as a clinical auditor and appeals specialist. Christie is married with a daughter, Cassidy, and resides in Caledonia. She enjoys learning to play tennis and spending time with family and friends.

 

Corgan Green

Warehouse Manager

Corgan graduated from Madison Ridgeland Academy in 2015 and went on to attend Belhaven University and Meridian Community College where he played baseball. After working a wide variety of jobs, he initially landed at Health Care Medical as a warehouse worker in 2019. Since that time, he has been a Delivery Technician and now manages the warehouse as an integral part of the team. Outside of work, he enjoys working out and spending time with friends.

Health Care Medical started in 2001 to provide Diabetic supplies, including shoes, and testing supplies services to home health patients in the metropolitan Jackson, Mississippi market.

A second location was established in 2004 to serve the Northeast area of the state. Health Care Medical quickly expanded to include oxygen and respiratory care supplies, a full line of mobility equipment, including power wheelchairs, hospital beds, enteral nutrients and supplies, and breast prosthetics.

In 2015, we established our infusion pharmacy for Home IV therapy and specialty injectables. We are a Medicare contracted provider, participate in all Medicaid plans in the state of Mississippi, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi and hundreds of other commercial insurance networks.
