Infusion Pharmacist

Job Type: Full-time

  • Registered pharmacist needed with experience in sterile compounding and home infusion.

    Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Follow policies and procedures for existing pharmacy clean room and hood

    • Follow the procedures and guidelines for patient care, patient/caregiver education and mandatory compliance documentation

Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Job Type: Full-time

  • Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent):

    • Performs the following tasks in a correct and timely fashion under the supervision of a pharmacist:

    • Contacts patients and/or caregivers to schedule a delivery and determine supply needs.

    • Picks and packs medical supplies to fill patient orders.

    • Accurately dispenses products in the computer system to generate a delivery ticket and/or prescription labels.

    • Assists the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniques and following pharmacy policies and procedures.

    • Accurately calibrates equipment.

    • Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.

    • Ensures that all pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods and clean room are cleaned per pharmacy policy.

    • Understands and can perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.

    • Prepares medications under the supervision of a pharmacist so they are accurately compounded.

    • Ensures that a licensed pharmacist properly checks all compounding and packing.

    • Adheres to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices.

    • Complies with state and federal laws.

    • Assists with product purchasing, inventory and equipment management.

    • Orders the correct drug products from the wholesale company if requested.

    • Knowledgeable of various vendors and where to get different supplies, medications and clean room needs.

    • Verifies the accuracy of product orders received.

    • Checks prices against contract and in the schedule of charges.

    • Cleans and tests infusion pumps.

    • Assists with the system of tracking infusion pumps and medical equipment.

RN/BSRN Clinical Nurse Liaison

Job Type: Full-time

  • Locally owned Specialty Infusion Pharmacy seeks RN/BSRN for a Clinical Nurse Liaison. This liaison will be responsible for promoting and raising awareness to hospitals, clinics and home health agencies throughout the state on the benefits, infusion service and therapies that our Infusion Pharmacy offers.

    The Clinical Nurse Liaison will have daily face to face interaction with hospital case managers, social workers and discharge planners on potential referrals that will be discharging home on continued infusion therapy.

    The Clinical Nurse Liaison will collect all pertinent discharge information and work collaboratively with the patients and clinical staff providing coordination of care to ensure a smooth transition from the medical facility or clinic back to the home.

    The Clinical Nurse Liaison will be responsible for the education of the prescribed therapy with the patient and/or caregivers on how to self-administer in the home setting, and how to operate any equipment that may be needed to administer the prescribed medication.

    The Clinical Nurse Liaison will need to be comfortable with the occasional administration of medication when needed in our infusion suites.

    As the patient advocate, the Clinical Nurse Liaison will actively promote the benefits and ease of home infusions in lieu of extended hospitals stays or readmissions.

  • RN Required, BSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Mississippi and in good standing.

    A minimum of 5 years clinical experience, infusion therapy experience preferred but not required, patient assessment skills and venous access skills. Pediatric and adult experience is preferred.

    Must possess effective communication, technical, instructional, interpersonal and time management skills and be able to work effectively autonomously.

    Must be willing and comfortable to communicate with referral sources daily.

    Must be excellent at multi-tasking and able to work under stressful and fast paced atmospheres.

    Preferred candidate will have established relationships with Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Immunology, and Neurology Physicians and staff along with established relationships with hospital case managers, social workers and discharge planners.

    Prior clinical marketing and referral development is required.

    Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

LPN/RN Wound Specialty Care 

Job Type: Full-time

  • Home Medical Equipment/Infusion Pharmacy seeks LPN or RN for a Clinical Nurse position to specialize in wound therapies. This nurse will facilitate wound management in the home. This nurse will frequently communicate with physicians, hospitals, clinics and home health agencies throughout the state for managing wound care in the home.

Delivery Technician

Job Type: Full-time

  • Responsible for the delivery, set up and instruction of medical equipment to patients within the home and/or other healthcare facilities. Delivers, sets up & instructs the use of medical equipment at the patient’s delivery address in the designated company vehicle. Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered items. Completes all necessary delivery forms, billing tickets and secures all necessary signatures from patients and/or caregivers. Collect payments as needed and notated on invoices. Maintain daily inventory of medical supplies in company designated delivery vehicle. Delivers equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state and local governmental regulations. Load and unload medical equipment in an orderly and safe manner

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • Must be comfortable and confident when setting up medical equipment and interacting with individuals who may be sick and/or uncomfortable

    • Must adhere to all codes of conduct and company dress policy

    • Knowledge of home medical equipment products such as Oxygen, Suction, and nebulizers

    • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing/entering information

    • Must have a valid MS Driver’s License and excellent driving record

Job Type: Full-time

  • Experienced, self-motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist needed for processing payments for a high volume DME/HME business, insuring that claims are billed, processed, and paid within a 30 to 45 day window.

    Must have a thorough understanding of Medicaid and Commercial Insurance billing and processing of detailed medical claims (HCFA 1500).

    Must have a complete understanding of the payment process cycle for primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance payors. This includes knowledge of EOBs, ERN, and general claims submissions.

    Post payments received to appropriate claims

    Management of overall Accounts Receivable with a goal of receiving payment within 45 days of service

  • Must have a thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance billing, the payment process cycle for primary, secondary, and tertiary payors including knowledge of EOBs, ERN, and PHARMACY CLAIMS submissions.
