Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties Offers Prostheses and Garments for Women with Breast Cancer

Health Care Medical Infusion Specialties and Health Care Medical are commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as those currently on their breast cancer journey. We also celebrate our survivors!

If you are currently battling breast cancer and require a mastectomy, we can help you with the appropriate prosthetic devices and support wear. There are various types of post-mastectomy and lumpectomy prostheses, also called breast forms. Manufacturers make a wide selection of types, shapes, sizes, and colors.

The type of prosthesis required is determined by the amount of breast tissue that is removed. A prosthesis can be worn against the skin, inside the pocket of a mastectomy bra, or attached to the chest wall. Prosthetic devices are designed to look feminine while ensuring comfort.

We have Certified Mastectomy Fitters (CMF) onsite who are allied health professionals specifically educated and trained in the provision of breast prostheses and post-mastectomy services. They work with you to fitting, adjusting, or modifying devices that reflect the level of education and training received. We recommend you set up an appointment to meet with our CMFs before surgery to learn about the process and how we can help you. Being informed as early as possible makes finding the right fit and garment easier while you recover.
